The Wii suffers the same as the DS, in how the "innovation" ruins most of it's games. There are some games that are and will benefit from the innovative controlls, but it's overall garbage.
The main selling point is the old games that you can download and play. The PlayStation has more games than all the Nintendo platforms have had combined, but it will be a while until the PS3 can play PS games.
When playing the Wii, many people just think about the horrible graphics compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3. The Wiimote and Nunchuck don't make up for the reduced "indepthness" the PS3 and 360 can give you. Just look at Assassin's Creed, that can't be done on a Wii (the AI wouldn't be anywhere near as advanced on the Wii.
This console is a humongous letdown, just like the DS.
It will sell really well, like the DS, but that's just because of Mario, Zelda, and Metroid.
