Nintendo's Wii is just plain fun. The system itself is only marginally better then they original Xbox in terms of power. However, Nintendo has blatantly taken an alternate approach when compared to the competition. Wii Sports that comes with the system is so cute and fun its ridiculous. The new controller system is a wonderful touch, however this early in the systems life it has yet to provide real innovation. Currently, the remote offers only a variation on gameplay of existing games...though this should change as the Wii matures. Wii's online market is a wonderful addition to which many many gamers shall and have rejoiced. Having only played the Wii and not being an owner, my only complaint's are the Classic Controller and Nintendo's borrowing of Sony's "bankruptcy from accessories." In my opinion the classic controller is a horrible example of leftovers. Though some people may not be bothered by its blandness, it seems to me that all the innovation was used up before realizing they didn't have a regular controller for the Wii. I dislike this controller 100%. As for the accessories thing, I couldn't believe my ears when I joined my friend to a trip to Best Buy to purchase two more Wii remotes. Even using his value card, the total on just 2 remotes was $96. In case you didn't know...this is for the remotes only. If you want the "nunchuk" or a classic controller, you have to buy them seperately. Too much money on too many extra's to optimize your systems use. Overall...I give it 4 stars. It's a good step in the right direction for a company that was floundering lately.
