I love my suzies. I have or had RMs, GSXRs GS's ect all are/were awsome! but my buddies '03 or '04 Eiger has been nothing but trash since is ran out of warranty. 60 or 90 days. motor noise's hard to or no starts, poor performance on occasion ect. ect... It has spent more time at the dealer than on the trail! That is why I am here, too look for help. I am the trail mechanic of our group. His Eiger has been abandoned in my barn for 2 yrs now and replaced with a CAN/AM. I can buy it for $600. Yea he is pssd at it. If I were you I would try to 1st) retard timing (cheap & easy) 2nd) check timing chain and tensioner 3rd) replace piston and wrist pin with wiesco. If throwing $$ at it doesn't fix it trade it 'cause it is probably the bottom end(con rod and/or crank. The only other thing I can think of is the drive clutch. His has less than 1000 mi on it! robrob, I just found a recall on the Eiger thru google! type in eiger motor and it was 3 or 4 down the list! It IS A CRANKSHAFT DEFECT!!! DEALER will repair for FREE!!! I am going to go pay my buddy for his and take it to the dealer now. Good Luck Jim

MY buddy bought a couple of Eigers when I bought mine and the one he bought was the Eiger automatic and it has a bad noise in it. He brought it back to the dealer and they said they took it apart and could not find anything, they told they wouls extend the warranty but he took it home and has been in his garage since, kind of p'd us off as we bought 3 new one and spent over $15000 to be treated this way. Lookat my rating and see what I wrote.
