Valvoline 1

It is not all that bad. But how it is formulated it is not the best that is why I am giving it the low review. It will serve most people preposues just fine. But it is not the best.

It deserves a MUCH better review then you gave it. How it is formulated? Whats that supposed to mean? Clarify maybe? I can most defiantly tell you it is MUCH better than most value store brands I.e. Wal-Marts Super Tech, etc

Have you ever analyzed it. Ashland uses a group II basestock and an weak additive pack. Compared to other name brand motor oils. Due you know who produces same of the value store brand oils? Let me tell you NAPA brand oil is Valvoline. Supertech could be produced by any of three oil companies. Depending on your location. Also Valvoline has another setback. It is a blended oil. Meaning that Ashland the parent company of Valvoline does not produce it's oil. It goes out and buys whatever is the cheapest oil it can get to pass it's certifications and blends in it's additives. So it's performance can vary from batch to batch. But it does meet the latest API spec. So it is good yes. It is an excellent product and no engine will die from proper use from it. But it is not the best.
