Willard Mitt Romney is a fresh face and shows an ability to win the votes of Democrats by winning in Massachusetts. He has the problem of his Mormon religion and his unknown status.
He is an interesting politician. His father, George Romney, was Governor of Michigan in the 1960's and probably the odds on favorite to win the presidency in 1968. Then George made a famous gaffe that he had been "brainwashed" on Viet Nam, and that was the end of his hopes.
