The Catholic Council of Trent denied every Reformation Bible based doctrine, including Scripture alone and grace alone. Trent proclaimed 125 anathemas (eternal damnation) against all Bible-believing Christians. The official statements of the Council of Trent are considered to be infallible, therefore, the anathemas of the Council of Trent cannot be changed or revoked. Don't let anyone tell you these 125 anathemas have been revoked in any kind of way because they haven't! Pope John Paul II in 1996 commemorated the 450th anniversary of the opening of the Council of Trent by affirming that Trent's declarations “maintain all their value.” The statement of the doctrines approved at Trent were issued in 1566 in the Roman Catechism. Here are examples of 5 anathemas, remember you only need one according to Rome be damned forever! “If anyone shall say that justifying faith is nothing else than confidence in the divine mercy pardoning sins for Christ's sake, or that it is that confidence alone by which we are justified ... let him be accursed” (Canon 12). "If anyone says that baptism is optional, that is, not necessary for salvation, let him be anathema (accursed)" (Canons on Baptism, Canon 5). If anyone says that in the Roman Church, which is the mother and mistress of all churches, there is not the true doctrine concerning the sacrament of baptism, let him be anathema (accursed)" (Canons on Baptism, Canon 3). "If anyone denies that sacramental confession was instituted by divine law or is necessary to salvation; or says that the manner of confessing secretly to a priest alone, which the Catholic Church has always observed from the beginning and still observes, is at variance with the institution and command of Christ and is a human contrivance, let him be anathema (accursed)" " (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 7). "If anyone says that Christ received in the Eucharist is received spiritually only and not also sacramentally and really, let him be anathema (accursed )" (Canons on the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, Canon 8). During the passing centuries the Roman Catholic Church added the following doctrines which are not taught in the Bible nor did the early Christians ever practice any such doctrines : 1. Prayering for the dead - 300AD 2. Making sign of the cross - 300AD 3. Mass as a daily celebration - 394AD 4. Mary as 'Mother of God' - 431 A.D. 5. Priests dress differently than laity - 500 A.D. 6. Worship of the cross, images,& relics - 786 A.D. 12. Holy water - 850 A.D. 13. College of Cardinals Established - 927 A.D. 14. Celibacy of the Priesthood decreed - 1079 A.D. 15. I had to take a look into the teachings of my own Church and it's not easy when I found half of the service was mere traditions of men pasted down threw the years and not biblical. with that said I found this link that has the same info that Illusionbuster posted and more.

I often shoot speed while listening to my Led Zep albums. I also love reading Anton LeVey. I often sacrifice bulls at my temple...then I sprinkle the blood on innocent passers by, while burning Jack Chick tracts in front of Evangelical churches.

pugwash01 sorry about that please accept my apologies. I was right about one thing it didn't make sense what you said but it was only in my head that it didn't make sense cause I read it wrong! Thanks for that comment, I try to go by facts as best I know how to and if I am wrong please correct me with the facts, clever insults have never help me understand any truth it just makes it harder to find the truth and maybe that's the goal of the insult specialists here at RIA.

illusionbuster, I think you got me wrong in your understanding. I was merely pointing out that certain people on RIA are OK with slamming other people. I was stating that what you had written was factual and that if Factual then instead of saying quote "you are proving yourself ect" You should say I disagree with your facts and I don't like how you are writing, as I feel this or that way! I was actually in support!!! I just hate it when things get personal. I was not saying you were slating anyone by your comments or posting!

GenghisTheHun the Pope accepted the Canon but they have never accepted any of the teachings in the Canon, sorry but it's all just a false outward Catholic show. All Catholic teachings and doctrines trample underfoot completely and totally oppose the truth taught in the Bible. Care to discuss it one doctrine at a time? Or are you just wanting to comment here and hid behind vague generalities?

pugwash01 nothing you said makes much sense who did I slam? If I said Stalin killed many of his country men is that a slam on Stalin too? I am going by the history & doctrines of the Catholics that are recorded for any who cares to know.

AutzenMaven you sound like a lawyer looking for every possible loop hole to avoid all the facts. You look desperate like you can't discuss things intelligently with respect like an adult. So far you just show me that all you have is a passion for Catholicism with no reasoning abilities and only a bag of tricks and diversionary tactics.

If factual proof has been given, why then must people on RIA slam the person. There is a difference between Fact and Falsehood. Why, IF facts come from a factual source, (not of their own.) should that person still get personal slams against them! If you are not willing to read and study yourself, why bother replying to a review!!!!!!! On this subject no one wins because it seems, some don't want to learn or read or understand other peoples reviews. They just call them people BASHERS!!! It works both ways you know.

I hear Roman Catholics all listen to Led Zep as well... more evidence of satanic tendencies.

Hey, you forgot the Bible about 500 AD when the Pope accepted the Canon. Was everything before that date ok then?

You are proving yourself to be the most hateful moron on RIA...and that in and of itsself is quite an accomplishment. You are NOT a good witness for Christ. BTW, it is obvious that you just pulled that out of a sourcebook or website, without crediting the source...so you are guilty of plagiarism. I know that you are incapable of composing anything on your own.
