First off, isn't it kinda scary that after a 14 year study that feeding your dog a lifetime of purina would add two years onto your dogs life...so the dog died at 14? Lets face it people Dogs used to live to be 20 and 25 before companies like Purina (which is owned by Nestle), Hill's (colgate) and Eukanuba (Proctor and Gamble) came out with their dog foods. The fact that 14 years is old for a dog is just sad. Purina make NINE different dog foods (including Alpo, Purina One, Beneful, etc.) All of which are sold in grocery stores. Now common sence tells us that if a company were to make that many different dog foods and have to mass produce to millions of grocery stores and pet stores in the United states alone, that they would not take the time to actually put healthy ingredients in their food. Lets face it, the only reason this company is still in buisness is because it is cheap and easy for people as consumers to buy food at the grocery store, and we turn a blind eye to what is really in the food we are feeding our companions. Now, after my rant, here is my proof that this is a bad food. One word...Animal Digest! Ok, the fact that they have corn gluten and poltry by-product is bad enough, but animal digest...yuck! For those of you that don't know what animal digest is, let me educate you. Animal Digest is a cooked-down broth made from unspecified parts of unspecified animals. Any kind of animal can be included: goats, pigs, horses, rats, and even euthanized dogs and cats. The animals can be obtained from any source, so there is no control over quality or contamination. Many times it may come from meat that is too riddled with cancer to be used in human consumption. PEOPLE this is whats in our beloved dogs food!!! PLEASE look into what you are feeding your animals. It could very well add a real 5-10 years on your dogs life!
