Barry Sanders is the best running back of all-time. If he had played only 3 or 4 more years than he did he would have the most  yards by a RB.

And I can easily say that "IF he had played 3 or 4 more years", he'd have suffered a career-ending knee injury and wouldn't have gotten ANY records. My scenario is just as plausible as yours. IF is a wonderful word, isn't it?...so many possibilities!
