Fromm Family Foods 4

Their 4 star formula brand foods are a  good quality food.

TAKE NOTE:  >>> Their Adult Gold formula is not so good (Use of low quality grains and controversial fillers. )  3 stars only.

This review is for their 4 star line up of foods:

The first and second ingredients in the food are named meat products.

There are further meat meal ingredients 9th and 15th on the ingredient list. The carbohydrate content of the food comes from sweet potatoes and grains meaning that the food is relatively low in grain content.

The grains used are rice, barley and oatmeal, all of which are good quality low-allergenic grains that provide additional carbohydrates and protein to the food.

The use of whole eggs and a range of fruits and vegetables in the food, as well as a good range of probiotics.

Tomato pomace and oat hulls are fillers, but these are fortunately a very small proportion of the food.

Fromms Four Star formulas are semi-allergy foods with low grain content.

Do not like that it is imported form China though.

Barley *is* a high reactive food for allergies as well as being a lesser digested grain for dogs and not as well tolerated as other grains. All kibbles have fiber inclusion. What you keep identifying as "fillers" are fibers. Fromm is made in the USA in their own plant and is a longstanding company.

Grain free diets are the best for your dogs kibble. Like Innova evo, and Nature's Variety Raw Instinct. But these foods are expensive and for the people who can't afford them grain based foods are the next best. Out of the available grains.. Rice, oats and barley are the best. You seem to think Corn and Sorghum are good. Well to each his/her own. Fillers are cheap ingredients with little nutritional value that are used to fill the bag cheaply. Some fillers do have fiber content, yes, but there are better ingredients to add (with nutritional value)if adding fiber is the purpose you are trying to achieve.
