Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1933-1945)

Born in 1882 at Hyde Park, New York, Franklin D. Roosevelt, a Democrat, was first elected to the Presidency in 1932. While suffering from polio, Roosevelt led the nation through the Great Depression and World War II. He was re-elected three times, serving until his death on April 12, 1945 at Warm Springs, Georgia, just weeks before the surrender of Germany.

 


Conservatism

What can you say about a man like Franklin D. Roosevelt, an American Icon. He led us through the Great Depression and the Second World War, definitely in my top 5.
