Like all dogs, mine are avid culinary spectators. As far as being trustworthy about it well, so far so good. But, I'm not sure how it would go if I left the room for more than 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure the little one would make a jump for it though - yeah, I would put money on that. What they usually settle for is unblinking staring combined with soulful, sincere and very serious eye contact. At their current ages (3 and 8) they've worked it into an art form by now and sometimes it's so painfully sincere that you can almost feel the vibes penetrating your brain...an obvious attempt at K-9 thought transfer (I think they're watching SciFi while I'm at work). It's usually somewhat effective and they end up with a bite or two for their trouble. Dog mind control can be a scary thing.
