Nutro Ultra 1

***Update, the Nutro company just sold out to Mars inc. (yeah, thats right, the M&M candy company). FYI, Mars also owns such brands as Pedigree and Royal Canin, as well as a few other extremely low quality foods. What you are about to see in the near future is that Nutro's quality is going to go significantly down (not that it was very high to begin with) and you may even get to see Nutro in the supermarkets...scary huh? Do not buy from this company, your dog will be healthier when he is on a better food. (e.g. Nature's Variety, Innova, Canidae)

They did get purchased but are remaining a private company. Their quality will not change. Ultra out preforms most all other dog food. My dogs coat is great! She couldn't be healthier!

Quality, thats a laugh. Check out the ingredient at the bottom of your Ultra Bag. Meniodine Sodium Bisulfate Complex. Thats Synthetic Vitamin K, and research is finding that it causes a LOT of problems in dogs after long term exposure. Go to dogfoodproject.com to get more informations on that. And, as far as being a private company, obviously not if a) they are OWNED by a candy company and b)they were one of the biggest companies affected by the recall! They do not nor will they ever manufacture their own food. Sure they started out as a good company (like 35 years ago) but they soon went the way of Science Diet, Royal Canine, and Eukanuba.

Puppylover. Your comments are libel and can be taken as so. Nutro is the best food on the market, thats why they sell more premium pet food than ANY other brand. I think that you need to get your stories straight before saying these things. Oh and Ultra does not contain synthetic materials. They were bought by Mars to provide more products. The quality will not go down. I cant stand comments like yours without any basis or warrant.

Puppylover a couple of notes to take into consideration. MARS (which you are so quick to bash) did NOT have single product in the recall list -- because they can and bag ALL their own product. After buying Nutro, MARS purchased an additional canning plant that will be used exclusively to make Nutro products. Nutro already makes all of its own dry food. With the addition of the new canning plant, that means Nutro will make ALL of it's own food. This should GREATLY improve quality control.

FYI, Royal Canine WAS recalled...they are made by Mars! As for my comments being libel, FYI, first you must prove that my comments are lies in order for a libel claim to have any weight. Mars does own pedigree and royal canine, Nutro is a VERY low quality food, especially when comparing to foods like Innova, Orijen, Canidae, or Nature's Variety. Menadione Sodium Bisulfate IS a synthetic mineral (K3). And, just becuase Nutro has the highest sales in the premium market does not by any means mean that it is the best food on the market (does anyone else realise how stuped that sounds?) Thats like saying that because McDonalds sells the most hamburgers that they are the best hamburgers on the market! lol!
