I love Tammy and all her imperfections, maybe I'm a duped Christian, but I rather be that than someone who spreads gossip about someone even if it is true.

Marking false teachers and warning about compromisers is not gossip or slander. Paul warned of false teachers and compromisers by NAME no less than ten times in 1 and 2 Timothy alone. If a church leader publicly teaches error or commits a serious sin that would disqualify him or otherwise does something that people should be warned about, it is not gossip or slander for men of God to describe the problem publicly

Right on Bro!There are a lot of people on this website that really don't get it.Jim and Tammy made mistakes as we all do.They weren't false teachers, they didn't steward their money appropriately. The word of God also says that you who are spiritual should attempt to"restore such a one" and be consciously careful lest you yourself do the same.At sometime or another we have all done something wrong. The restoration process requires that you are to encourage one another, not discourage them. The false teachers that Paul the apostle is speaking of in 1Timothy ar those who rewrite or pervert the word of God.There are those who make a lot of changes that would tickle or fancy a man's hear.If you (for example)were to say that God loves you even if you are a homosexual, that would be a true statement. It is not our job to clean up a person who is gay 1st before he can belong to your fellowship.God is no respecter of persons. That is to say that for all of us as christians are involved in a process changing over time. The same would be true for the homosexual. But I wouldn't say that we should herald in the gay lifestyle or incorporate it into the house of God in such away that we come off looking like we advocate homosexuality. That would be a doctrine that Christ didn't teach and neither should we.The Jim and Tammy Bakker saga has been forgotton as far as the east is from the west.It is time that we should learn to forgive one another and let God do the judging.
