Not sure which was more uncomfortable, the shoes or the interaction with distant relatives!
(Update - I haven't attended a formal religious ceremony - other than weddings or funerals if those count - since childhood. So, when I say forced - that was as a child. Sorry. I was a little misleading about that in my item submission.)
