Corn is no better and no worse then barley, wheat, oats...its a carbonhydrate not protien source unless used with corn, wheat or rice glutin...which is the protien starch removed. And it isn't a filler as if they took out the corn they would have to replace it with another grain or carbonhydrate source. So if barley isn't a filler then neither is corn.
