Love when I hear someone bitch about how abused they were as young catholics because some nun told them to "Shut the **** up, you little turd" or rapped their knuckles with a yardstick that weighed less than air. It's not currently my cup of tea, but don't have a problem with it. 5 stars....for my Irish-Catholic mom...

04/14/2007		The thing with the Catholic Church, there is none of this "end times" or "rapture" nonsense, which is all rubbish thought up by people in fairly recent times and, in the UK at least, there is no killing of abortion clinic staff (although I don't know if it was Catholic Church philosophy to do this in USA. Maybe it is wishful thinking to want to ditch more or less the whole of the bloodthirsty Old Testament in favour of the new "gentle Jesus" New, but that is the type of Christianity I would like to see. As far as I know, the Catholic Church has not ditched the OT yet. What a pity. And what a pity they are not prepared to admit that Pope Pius XII was a Nazi sympathiser and forget about the whole beatification thing for that monster!
