G.E. Monogram (Built-In Bottom-Freezer) 1

We have been very disappointed with both the quality and design of the GE Monogram Refrigerator. In less than a year, the ice maker has broken twice (two difference problems) and the freezer tray slides fell apart and the ice maker distributes ice to the bottom of the freezer so that when you open the door, ice spills onto the kitchen floor. I could write this off as a lemon, but the GE repairman (who has been here several times) said he sees these problems on the majority of the GE Monogram Refrigerators. I have had lots of refrigerators in my lifetime all of them much less expensive than this one. This GE has the worst quality and most design flaws of any I have ever owned. GE should be embarrassed by this model and you will be making a big mistake if you purchase it.

I purchased one in 1/2005. Wish I had seen the earlier reviews. It is definitely a LEMON. I experienced all of your problems as well as those in the other reviews. I did get the first one replaced. There was a constant 'waterfall' sound day and night. The second one was quiet, but the fridge section gets warm; food spoils; freezer ices up. water flows out of bottom when id finally defrosts. I've had numerous repair calls - esentially defrosting the freezer to allow the air flow to go up to fridge. Frankly, I will never buy another GE PRODUCT AGAIN. I previously had a Sub-Zero and never had a problem. The Monogram is effectively a $5000.00 closet
