I'm not a huge Mo Cheeks fan. I sort of feel that he's been overmatched these last few years, and may not have the backbone to deal with NBA egos. But you have to give him some credit for how the Sixers have performed since the Iverson trade. With Iverson, they were 5-18. Since the trade, they finished 30-29. Better yet, they've seemed to play harder. The young players like Iguodala and Willie Green seem to have made strides. Cheeks has definitely earned the chance for another year - they'll have an influx of talent with three first round picks coming in. And amazingly, it was the soft spoken Cheeks who had the backbone to say enough's enough with Iverson.
