All I can say is that I can't wait until January 20, 2009!

Hey, SchadenfreudianSlip, I have been hearing this all my life. First Truman wouldn't yield to Ike, and then Ike to JFK. LBJ wouldn't yield to Nixon, and my all time favorite was that when McGovern beat Nixon, Nixon wouldn't yield. This is really tinfoil on your hat talk! (We gotta keep out those alien emanations.)

I've got this morbid fear that on January 22, 2009, as the next president approaches the White House w/entourage, Dubya will refuse to yield the seat in the Oval Office, arrest the new president as an enemy combatant since he's or she's aiding and abetting the enemy. I've told this to a few good friends, and they all laugh at it, but the laughter seems nervous, because each one of them realizes that it's not beyond possibility.
