Not a big item for me, but in the case of a car accident, this could prove infinitely useful in taking pictures of the accident scene ("pessimistic", maybe, but "hope for the best, prepare for the worst"). And, for better or worse, camera phones have made a big impact on capturing important (and unimportant) current events, such as the hanging of Hussein or the Virginia Tech shootings.
