The very first pick in the very first draft, Monday had a solid and long career with the A's, Cubs, and Dodgers. Monday was one of those players who was pretty good to good in all aspects of the game, though never really more than a minor star. Apparently a great college player, but had a slightly disappointing career in terms of expectations- for example, he never knocked in more than 77 RBI'S.
