As I'm a subject of the queen I will comment!

Queen Elizabeth II is what I would call a transitional Queen, I 'll explain; She was brought up with allot of the old values, Values most in this world disagree with. I feel that she has done a great job in moving the Royal Family into this new generation. You have to remember that old ways are very hard to remove, especially when most of the whose who still believe in them!!!  I don't agree with everything she has done, but I would say she has and is doing very well at changing the way the Royal family is. The queen does make money for the UK and her commonwealth and she is still worth allot to the people in England, You only have to see the millions of people that turned out for her Golden Jubilee. She has and I'm sure will continue to be a good Queen. Those who slate her and have never been under her rule, will never understand who or what she is about. So please don't slate what you don't know!!!!

As a Canadian, since she is the titular head of state of Canada, I feel that I have every right to "slate" her as I wish.

Of corse you have the right, without a doubt!!!!I would agree with you, but she is also trying to change allot. With that comes a dysfunctional family, as some don't want to change with the times! Your comment is valid!!!

There's a little matter of a neighbor that's been oppressed and burglarized for 835 years now- often at the whim of this institution , so while I certainly think that there are a lot of good people in Britain, I regard the royalty there with less admiration than I would a common thug- at least the common thug is often honest about what they do..

I don't have any disagreement with you! But I was merely writing about Queen Elizabeth II. Not the History of what my country has done. I or we can never change the past, as it is the past. Most people don't like what has happened with neighbors and lands far off; but there is nothing we can do about it now. I could call on all the bad historical blunders the USA has done, but I could never put that on the current administration! RIGHT! Appreciate all your comments.
