Jentezen Franklin is man who practices what he preaches, in all areas of his life. I have known him and his family for years, and they are the real deal. He loves his family more than his ministry. He has a true burden for those who don't know Jesus, either through salvation or in a deeper relationship, ie, "...that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings..." Phil 3:10. This is the guy that leads his 5000 member church on a 21 day FAST every January!!! He has been doing these fasts since high school, and credits that discipline, more than anything else, as being the source of God's blessing on his ministry.
In his services, he seldom talks about money except an occasional offering where he will speak on the blessings that come from giving. Neither he nor the church need the money as they are nearly debt-free. He teaches it because he has practiced it himself for his whole life and sincerely believes that people need to tithe to have God's fullest blessings in their life. I think it also helps that he is a fourth generation preacher (speaking of generational blessings).
Again, this guy is the real deal. And please know, I am always careful not to drink anybody's kool aide.
