Do we really want to open this can of worms? God forbid (or in my world, Ralph forbid) that we get enticed into discussions of the horrors of Puritan morality, or perhaps modern-day Puritanism in all its various guises. This awakens my libertarian streak--do whatever you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Sure, lock the door if the kids or others might walk in unannounced. But really, is there an issue here? Do it and enjoy it. On to something important.
