Colorado Technical University Online 5

*********Disregard krgirl's post********** *********Ignorant Poster********** krgirl, What a complete bunch of rubbish! I am currently enrolled and find the courses somewhat challenging. The school is based around project based courses or assignments. This is very similar to real life and situations that I have encountered before. There is no wrong or right answer. You could be totally off base but as long as you research and prove your stance you will at least pass the assignment. I am active duty military, student, and full time dad. I have been to both brick and mortar colleges and online colleges. I find it amusing that you, for no good reason, stumbled across this site to rate CTU. I do wonder about the open admission standards but usually the weak are thinned out after the first couple of classes. This leads me to think that many angry posters on this page are ex students that are stuck with a bill for a class not passed. I like this school very much and it fits my life style quite well. I do think the grading standard maybe a little lax but remains nothing that I haven't encountered before at other B&M schools. As far as accreditation, Colorado State University is accredited by the same standards as CTU. "Colorado State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is a member of the North Central Association. (http://www.accreditation.colostate.edu/)" CTU accreditation is "s accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools" Please do research before you spout your mouth off ignorantly. BTW, WASC is also a regional accreditation. "The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a 501 (c) 3 organization, is recognized as one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.(http://www.wascweb.org/)" This is the same as the North Central Association but for a region. Please get your facts straight before you post!!! Kudos, to your Aunt and WTG for you degrading her work and success. What does she feel about the college?

All that have went to CTU are dumb for not doing there homework and research.Stick to a goverment backed school like your community college or local University!Your degrees are fake, they will not be respected by any legtimate employer that requires real education! The cat is out of the bag, with respect to the goverment investigations listed below. CEC, Colorado Technical University's parent company, is currently being investigated by the Securities Exchange Commission (The Federal Goverment) [1] the United States Postal Service, and state agencies for various issues of non-compliance. One Department of Justice investigation that begun in 1994[2]was terminated in April 2007, with the Department of Justice declining prosecution. However, another investigation on a different matter was begun by the Civil Division of the Department of Justice in June 2006 and is currently ongoing. [3] In January 2007, the U.S. Department of Education lifted its restrictions on the company opening new schools or acquiring existing ones.[ CEC's most profitable division, American InterContinental University, has been on probation since December 2005 with its accrediting agency, SACS.[5] The probation status was reviewed after one year, in December 2006, and extended an additional 12 months. In December 2007, SACS is scheduled to determine whether AIU will have its probation lifted or will lose its' accreditation status.[6] [edit] External links

How can you say that the degree is fake??? It is accredited. In December 2008 AIU had its probation lifted. NCAA schools have probations all the time and not just sports related. CTU is a totally different entity than AIU and its campus is run completely different. Okay so lets do the reasearch! "CEC was investigated by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission for various issues of non-compliance in 2005. In January 2008, CEO reported that the SEC has closed its investigation and will take no action against the company" So issue dropped. According to the report it was the enrollment process that put them on probation. In October 2007, after visiting several AIU campuses, the Special Committee of the Commission on Colleges of SACS informed University officials that its final report would contain no recommendations for further corrective action. You act like this is still going on! People who down accredited colleges are dumb!
