Born in 1959, Stephen Patrick Morrissey was lead singer for the British Indie band "The Smiths" in the 1980's, teaming with guitarist Johnny Marr. After the Smiths broke up, Morrissey launched a succcessful solo career.

I'm giving him a five even though I am not a particular fan of most of his music. I am doing it because of his stance on things that matter, i.e. his Meat is Murder song. This is a person who has the courage of his convictions and long may he do so. I saw him interviewed on the Jonathan Ross show and can quite see why he has such a huge fan following. Whatever it is, he has got it! He has got that magic something that so many big-mouthed twerpy "stars" have not got and never will. It can't be copied.
