International House of Pancakes 3

I never found them all that bad, but the truth is, when I get a yen for pancakes (and I love pancakes), I'll scout out a local diner and have them there.

For sure, there's a proliferation of diners in "The Garden State" (they may have been invented here, although I'm not sure of that). I don't eat in them too often, and when I do, I find the food quality varies from poor to fair. The ones that adhere to the "train-car" look seem to make the best food-- there's a diner in Summit (there's a story that Hemingway used to eat there) that was, and is, actually quite good. Most of them, however, tend to do the breakfast stuff pretty well...eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, etc....and I can never resist the pies and cakes. Luckily for my health, I only eat in them once in a blue moon.

You just say that 'cause you know Ridge is on alert mode.

Truth is, some of Ridge's recent health concerns have made me take a long, hard look at some of the things I've been doing (and doing badly). Not that I'm danger of becoming a vegan anytime soon...

Thanks, Ridge, I will.
