As an ethics professor from the region this pastor serves,(I don't attend his church) I verified the following:He's Baptist. He pastors a large, influential congregation. He does not have 2 Hummers nor a mercedes (tag office verified)and I called the seminary and spoke with an admissions personel. He verified that Purvis has an earned accredited doctorate from their school.When well known pastors Drs. Charles Stanley, Spiros Zodiates, & Stephen Olford (do web search) graduated, the school was under "candidate status for accredition" at that time. It was approved years before before Pastor Purvis graduated. The accreditation is verified by both the United States Department of Education and CHEA (Council on Higher Education). To argue against the facts could only be personal,bias or foolish at this point. I would not agree with his doctrine because I'm not baptist, but the accusations made against this man are not true and were professionally verified.
