I remember the days of fans and window air conditioners that barely did the job. The first summer I spent with central air convinced me that I'd give up my furniture before I'd give this feature up. The only down side is that you become addicted to it and end up basically keeping your house closed up year round. That may be good security-wise but, you start to forget what the seasons really feel like. There are times when I miss that.
