" In other words, your vet was TRAINED by iams (or possibly Science Diet/Royal Canine/Purina) He has no insentive to take you off of Iams becuase, as your pet start to have health problems after being on this food for a long time, he will have the "medicine" and prescription diets to "help" you with your dog. Do not use the cheap/easy way of feeding your dog. He will be much healthier in the long run if you put him on a decent quality food (i.e. Nature's Variety, Canidae, Innova, Honest Kitchen, Orijen, Artemis, etc.)
