Doug batchelor is a very passionate preacher who obviously loves God with all his heart. He also is one of the few preachers who has alot of knowledge on a vast amount of biblical subjects which is very rare. He is a genuine person who has been lead by God to reach thousands upon thousands of people and bring them to a relationship with God. I agree with all of doug's beliefs in the bible they are all biblically based and I would dare anyone to prove his beliefs wrong using scripture. About his beliefs in the seventh day as being Gods day I would like to see anyone who doesn't believe this to be so to give just one scripture in the bible in which jesus says clearly that he has changed the day of worship from saturday to sunday. Because the sabbath is part of the ten commandments to believe that there has been a change in these you would have to have a direct scripture showing this change. GOOD LUCK!!

This is the funny thing about most Christians, why is that most hate the Sabbath teaching, saying its not biblical, when its clearly written the 10 commandments. I often hear sermons about, loving God, making him no. 1, to worship him always, to love each other, to love our parents, to love others and not steal or hurt them etc ... but then when its the Sabbath its quiet time! Here's a question for all those reading this, show me one text that says "remember the Sunday or first day of the week to keep holy ..." the only answer I keep getting is that it was later kept by the apostles who met on the first day ... but how can man change a worship day that was made 'holy' by God, did the apostles suddenly have the 'holiness of God' to bestow on Sunday? For all I know their meetings on Sunday could have been their small group gathering. I may sound like I'm barking away, but I have been Seventh Day Adventist all my life (I admit it) and a year ago I went on a journey of doubt regarding the Sabbath because I saw what people were writing about it and said to myself 'Hey! I'll look into what they're saying'. All the things I read and watched and listened to while on that journey seemed to start from disliking of the Adventists or William Miller or Judaism so on and so on, and nothing really foundational started from research to why it is actually false. The evidence people gave were references to certain meetings by the apostles on Sunday or the First day of the week ... that it is Jewish tradition ... so does that mean that I am not a Spiritual Jew like Jesus? or not? I looked back and thought this Sunday thing is confusing and can really further back from where you started. I may have been an Adventist believer, then slipped away, then found more evidence and now am not only an Adventist believer but a true Sabbath believer ... I know that the Sabbath was so important to God or to Jesus when he came ... that his disciples knew how important it was to Jesus that they left his half prepared body (no spices) in the tomb ... if it was someone you loved so much, wouldn't you have stayed to express that love, but you knew this person (Jesus) would not have approved of it, that they were willing to leave his body to pay respect to it ... maybe so ... but then he was the one who blessed it and made it HOLY and warranted 'rest' on it.

I was raised an Adventist, and with alot of reading the Bible and prayer, I have come to the understanding that your salvation is not hinged upon your works, but upon your belief and faith in Christ Jesus. Can anyone honestly say that they keep all the 10 Commandments without sinning? If you can say that you keep the whole law then you don't need a Savior. Luke 13:15 (King James Version) 15The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
