A bit harsh but as HelloKitty rightly points out, "if the shoe fits"... It's certainly better than the ubiquitous and cutesy "ho" that almost everyone - including children - seem to be using these days. I remember being taken aback when Tom Hank's son in 'Sleepless in Seattle' used the word to refer to his father's girlfriend... and the guy didn't even react! In spite of what some (like every rapper on Earth) would have you believe, changing the spelling doesn't diminish the word's meaning. It ain't "cute." And if you're going to call someone a whore then I think you had better mean it.. and leave the cute spelling out of it.
