Toyota Highlander

reviewed by gats32

Toyota introduced the Highlander 2000. This midsize sport utility vehicle offers 18 m.p.g. in the city, 23 m.p.g. on the highway and comfortably seats five people.

Toyota Highlander 3

My 2004 Highlander is 37 months old and has 39K miles. I have put up with the wind noise (unacceptable level) when the sunroof is open, but now the sunroof will not close (dealer estimte $2000 to $4000 ti fix). The more I investigate the more I understand this is a common problem.Anyone else have this issue?

YES, we just purchased an O4 from a Dealer. Drove off the lot and six months later, Sunroof won't close. Findlay Toyota in Las Vegas won't do a thing! We are busting mad, especially with temps in the 100's and estimated $3500 to repair. Searching the web for attourneys and the like and don't quite know where to turn next. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have an 04 Highlander with a sunroof that decided to stop working for no apparent reason. Dealer wants $3100 to repair which seems outrageous, especially since Toyota markets itself as having "reliable" vehicles designed and manufactured to "exceptional standards." I am interested in hearing from others with this problem in the hopes of sharing information and getting some relief.

My 05 Highlander just did the same thing yesterday. They say the frame is bent and the motor needs replaced and they want $3,000!!!!!!! Has anyone had success fighting Toyota over this problem?
