Bill Clinton 1

There was nothing "great" about Bill Clinton, period- and his personal life and the BJ's have nothing to do with that. Clinton did NOT reduce our national debt- it was nearly 1 TRILLION dollars higher when he left office than when he took office. "Welfare Reform"??? LOL...Clinton vetoed the same welfare reform bill 3 times before he signed it, under intense political pressure and in an election year. We are still paying for the "stain" this clown left on the Oval Office.

I think we're seeing now what a one star president looks like.... Clinton was not a one star president. Talented, but flawed. I'll never understand the hatred from the right of this man - he was far more fiscally conservative than GWB, and was at the helm for 8 years of relative peace and prosperity. How can results not count for anything?

QUESTION for you...why does the fact that GWB is a bad Pres have to men Clinton was a good Pres???

**mean**...pardon the typing.

There was nothing- repeat nothing- fiscally conservative about Bill Clinton. His feet were held to the fire by a Republican Congress...that is all. And his definition of "cutting the size of the federal government" amounted to nothing more than gutting the US military. Let us get our facts straight.

My point is not so much that Bush being bad makes Clinton good... it's more that we are in the throes of a 1 star presidency - prolonged and mismamanged war, drunken spending, endemic corruption. In this context, I believe it is easier to see - even for partisans - than Clinton was not a one star president. And Clinton was certainly a fiscal conservative - do a little research on "New Democrat" for the background.

As to the Bush Presidency, we agree. As to Clinton's, we do not. I wonder who here needs an objectivity check.
