For the record: I do NOT dislike Eastman or Dawn. I do, however, dislike the fact that he has abused his leadership role as a pastor for selfish reasons and he has done so more than once. His decisions have impacted a lot of families. As you all know, it is very difficult to get some people to even step a toe inside of a church. And yet, Destiny Church was a place for those people to start their journey with Christ. Then once the poop hit the fan with Eastman, they began to question themselves. They began to wonder if everything that man that was teaching and preaching was all a lie. Some have went on and found a place to worship and to learn and to continue their journey. But so many others are still wondering. Yes, I believe that Eastman will be forgiven- if in fact he is truly sorry. After all, God is a forgiving and loving God. God has given us a head on our shoulders and he expects us to use it for something more than a hat rack. I believe it is important that the people of this community be well informed of the facts when choosing a church to attend, a church to support and when choosing a pastor as their leader. Ask yourself, is Eastman the type of leader I want my children and grand children to model themselves after? Is he the kind of man I want to be? Is he the kind of man I want my husband to be? For those of you still wondering, I promise that a decision to continue your journey with God is the best decision for your life. There are so many wonderful pastors and churches out there that are the real deal. You just have to open yourself up and get out there and try them out. You will know it when you have found where you belong because God will move you like you have never been moved before. I know, because I have been there.

Please understand that I am not defending Angel. I am fully aware of his side. but I have to say that I doubt that she has enough power to stop him from getting on a plane or driving the motor home or RV to see the kids. After all, he drives those things all over God's green earth when he wants to. I have only seen Dawn a few times in passing when she was a staff member of Destiny (before they let her go because she was 'friends' w/ E) so I cannot comment on a person that I have not spent any time with. So I will just take your word for it. And as far as THEIR happiness...well, I hope they are happy because they wrecked a lot of lives in the process. Do you think that the Curtis family was the only family wrecked here? Don't you think it is weird how many families were seperating and filing divorce during 2005 at the church (Dawn & her husband being one of them)? I'm appalled that he has the impudence to start a church in our community after all of that. Eastman is a great evangelist, I can give him that. I believe God gave him that gift and I am grateful for that because so many lives have been touched due to this gift. But a pastor- he is not. I am not sure how long it took Angel to find someone. Or even IF she has found anyone. But, Eastman would do ANYTHING (even marry)to keep from being alone. And he always has to play the victim and it is probably only a matter of time before the only 'attacker' he has left is Dawn.

I was on staff at ORU in Tulsa back in the early 2000-2002. I worked in the broadcast division and knew Eastman and Angel somewhat. I also went from attending Church On The Move to Destiny which I still watch on internet today. I am still trying to piece together what happend here thus me being on this site. I found Eastman very cool to talk to and Angel never said much to anyone. My only comment is I hope Destiny continues to thrive which it seems to be pulling itself up by the bootstraps an moving on. As we have seen by many pastors, they are human, people make mistakes. Oral Roberts made mistakes, the pastor in Colorado made mistakes, I could tell you stories of some prominant Evangelist kids who attended ORU that made mistakes. (Not the Roberts family) Kids are kids and grow. No one is perfect. Carlton Pearson is another example of controversial issues. Each to their own. I now live in Florida but I do miss Destiny Church. I really came to light of all this mess by clues from watching "Confessions of a Pastor" on the internet by Destiny's current pastor. Keep the faith evryone you will survive.

Hey, this is Angel. I apologize for not talking to you. I am really shy and quiet in my own skin. I just a mom and that was my decision. My kids are my whole focus. I am involved in my church which is amazing. But, I do apologize for sending you a wrong signal. My heart is a love for people and I am so sad you did not get to know that.
