put it this way, would you rather listen to one of fleas bass lines or one of victor wooten......ya there maybe some out there a little more technicaly skilled but its about creativity and originality... so when you add it all up, skill, plus creativity and orginality there is noby better to listen to than flea

flea is the best and it is not a stupid thing to say...like you said listen to one of his lines and his speed. He is way more talented than Wooten among others...HE IS THE BEST...watch wooten play he is so stiff and plays the same shit over and over, he never incorporates any pull-offs, etc. just hits and pops the same notes very quickly a.k.a. no originality, also look at who Wooten is playing for, (not the Red Hot Chili Peppers). Does he have a bass made after him? If so tell me because I have never heard of it.

02/18/2008		I should write this reply on why you and everyone else who thinks that Flea is the best bassist ever are all morons! But I'm not. First off. If I and so many other armature bassists that i know are able to play his crap then what qualifies him as the BEST EVER!? Secondly! If you knew anything about bass playing then you would know that Wooten has it ALL OVER Flea bag. The only reason that people believe that Flea is the best is because he often holds the most predominant line in every song. YES Wooten does have a signature bass. It's called the Monarch by Fodera. So yes, I have listened to both bassist extensively and have probably heard about every song that both of them have ever played. I'm just sick of those die hard Flea fans that can't get their heads out of their butts long enough to realize that he really isn't THAT great of a bassist...
