I was researching supportive shoes and came across someone
who mentioned Archatomics and how great they were, so I decided to order some
for myself on July 20, 2007. Now over
two months later, I'm letting potential buyers know (warning them, rather) that
I never received what I paid for. I
bought the ones that were a total of $109 (including s/h), which were the full
insoles, and the most expensive.
What they do is send you a mold for your feet, then you send it back to them
(using your own money), and they create the custom insoles.
Well... 2 weeks after ordering, I hadn't received the mold. I contacted him and
he said he'd send it out soon (he obviously didn't look at my account, because
I received them the day I e-mailed him). He claimed he had been in the hospital
for a leg injury (yeah, right).
So I used the mold and mailed it back to him the following postal day. I
waited... and waited. Nothing. I e-mailed him on August 27th, asking where
the insoles were. He responded saying his system crashed and I'd receive them
in 3-4 days. Well... 3-4 days passed. 12 days later, I sent him another e-mail,
asking why I hadn't received them.
I never got a response from my last e-mail. I ended up contacting Google Checkout
around September 14th (They're the ones who handled the checkout/payment). They
contacted the seller and told him to respond to my inquiry. Archatomics didn't
respond to Google OR me within 5 business days, so Google Checkout issued me a
full refund. Thank goodness for Google Checkout is all I have to say or else I
may never have gotten my money back!
The seller lied to me about sending what I paid $109
for. The seller ignored my inquiry. The seller basically tried to steal money
from me, since that's usually what taking someone's money and not sending something
in return is. I waited over 2 months for
them to get their act together and mail them to me, but they never did. I never once asked for a refund because I
wanted the insoles. But it just got
absolutely ridiculous and there was no point in waiting any longer because I
would probably never receive them.
When researching the company after not having received the
product, I found comments from other people who have ordered from Archatomics
and hadn't received what they paid for after several weeks.
Bottom line -- DO NOT PURCHASE INSOLES FROM ARCHATOMICS UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK
NEVER GETTING WHAT YOU PAID FOR AND THEM STEALING YOUR MONEY!
