I think this would be really useful and a lot of fun too if you found a particular person whose comments you enjoyed you could just click on their username or whatever and find out what else they have to say. However, I was speaking with a friend of mine the other day and I was saying just this, "how cool it would be if you could read all the comments by someone else" etc, and she thought it was really creepy and sort of stalkeresque. I said "what you don't read certain books because they're written by a particular author, watch particular commentators because you think they're funny or insightful, never had a pen pal?? mmhhh mmhhh??" For some reason she didn't really appreciate my enthusiasm.
