How can a band that has 7 platinuim albums (Budakon 3X) and an official day in their home state of Chicago not be in the R'N'R hall?

Firstly, Chicago is a city, not a state. Secondly, I have listened to a lot of rock in my years on this earth, and I can't remember a single Cheap Trick song title to save me. If they were halfway decent, that wouldn't be the case...

Crisp, I'll give you partial credit. As Marius said, they're from the state of Illinois, not Chicago, which is a city. But yes, they should be in the Hall of Fame. Obviously, Marius hasn't heard "I Want You To Want Me," "Surrender," "Dream Police" or many others.
