Joe Cocker

The legendary joe cocker has been shamefully overlooked by the HOF, and has seen fit to induct much less deserving artists. The young generation forgets what a powerful force in rock music Joe was back in the late 60's and 70's. He is the greatest intrpretive rock singer in rock history period. He still performs at a high level even at 63 years old, and can still outsing vocalists half his age. With his legendary performance at Woodstock, and his famous Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour of 1970, Cocker was the #1 attraction in pop music at that time. Hit records like "Feelin Alright", "The Letter", 'With A Little Help From My Friends", "Cry Me A River", "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window", "High Time We Went", "You Are So Beautiful", "Up Where We Belong", "Unchain My Heart", "You Can Leave Your Hat On", and "When The Night Comes", are just a sampling of his musical output! I don't want to hear he doesn't write his own material. Neither does half of the acts inducted! All those great motown groups had the writing team of Holland Dozier Holland doing all their writing, and the funk brothers doing their playing. Cocker is a true rock n roll icon, and the greatest classic rock voice of the baby boomer gerneration. With a career resume that holds its own against any classic rocker, I sit and wonder how the hell Grand Master Flash gets inducted for scratching records on a turntable, Percy Sledge is in as a one hit wonder, Blondie is in for making a few disco records, the Ramones who are nothing but a glorified garage band is enshrined, but Joe Cocker who can still belt it out to this day, and who's career demolishes those mentioned above, is still out in the cold. The treatment of Joe cocker by thr RRHOF is dispicable!
