A long but excellent song from his second album, squarely in the great and old tradition of folk, blues, and country songs about murder that combined elements of those genres with some elements of hard rock and even a bit of an influence in terms of its jamming and length to what was going on in the Bay Area at the time. A classic, great guitar, disturbing lyrics, and a real, building, sense of dread as the song progresses. There is a cover by former Electric Flag/ Band of Gypsies member Buddy Miles, but it isn't anything special.
