Amtrak 1

ha ha ha...... check this out.. i have to go from san antonio(TX) to san jose(CA) on dec 2nd week, i thought of taking the amtrak and searched for the route. voila!!!! it gave me a route to go to springfield(IL) for 27hrs and then to san fransico for 57hrs and after that to san jose. the humour is here, i searched for a train from san antonio to san fransico, it showed me a train route straight from san antonio through NM and AZ which took only 33hrs in total.. try it out yourself.. hope i wouldnt have to travel to new york next time i go from san antonio to dallas. LOL :D

I was trying to get from Atlanta, GA to SanDiego, and the website told me I had to go up to DC, Chicago, Denver, and then down. I sent an email to Amtrak all mad that it was going to take over 4 days!!! within 3 hours, I got a response (which I was beyond shocked) telling me that would take the train to New Orleans, spend the night on my own accord, and then in the morning, take the train to LA. Then then apologized that I was misinformed. That was very nice and helpful of them, but I was misinformed by THEIR website..... I was excited to hear there was a route and first class sleepercars, but I am still scarred after reading such bad reviews. It helps when people say which routes they have actually taken. I havent come across any reviews about people who have taken the "low route" through the southern states and texas to CA.
