From a former Democrat to one still buying the spin: wake up! The party doesn't matter. Most politicians are in it for the money, be it from the oil industry or any number of the plethora of special interests vying for attention. Government cares for three things: keeping the powerful in power, the wealthy fat and happy, and the remainder ground under heel, despite how much they say they "care."

WOW..... how impressive! "You" care for "people". But not the rich. How about the greedy...such as the greedy teachers' union? You care for children, sure. That's why child predators are let out in society to victimize over and over and over again. And " you " don't care about the rich? What do call your buddies in Congress?

Yeah, pansycritter, your argument is so full of logic. *sarcasm* So if someone is rich, they are no longer "of the people"? And if you care about children, you must exclusively be a Democrat? And if you care about oil, you must be a Republican, huh? Tell that to those who worked hard to make something of themselves and now enjoy the fruits of their labors for a job well done, or those who care about children (like doctors and social workers) but *gasp* happen to be Republicans, or some Democratic members of Congress who happen to also benefit from big oil to finance their re-elections. Your logic is so fatally flawed. But then again, your statement never had any logic in the first place! So tragic.
