I have been with TCF bank since June of this year. Since I have been with TCF I have recieved 2 boxes of checks, one of which I did NOT order and got charged for 5 boxes of checks. When I called the customer service line, they said that they had to put a note on my account that these charges would not be reversed anymore but it's ok for me to still get charged for things I am not ordering nor recieving anyway. When I ask to talk to a supervisor, I am not allowed and when I ask for them to put a block on my account for check charges they say no. It's supposed to be a free checking account, however I must pay 33 cents for everytime I want to use my card because it pays for my "PROTECTION". Bottom line TCF charges your account for things you don't authorize, to use your card, and you have no control over who can and can't charge things to your account, how shitty is that. I am closing my account as soon as possible. If you are with TCF I suggest you do the same so that you don't get robbed also.
