Overall, I give this menthol a 3.5 stars. I actually do like this cigarette a lot, and I think that the smell off the Marb Smooths is pleasent. But there's a catch: I think it's just little too strong. I'll give it credit though, it never escapes your mind that your smoking a menthol cigarette, unlike Newports which are supposed to be menthols, but are really tarry, crude-oil soaked tobacco cancer-sticks.
But the reason I gave Smooths a 3.5 is because the menthol can get a little overwhelming. It should be a cool relaxing blunt, but at it's worst, it can feel like your inhaling razor-sharp icicles. Also my throut began to ache a little when I first tried these, so I waited a couple of days for my throut to heal, and then smoked some more (I wanted to get my money's worth after all). After half-way through the pack my throut got used to it, and the aches stopped.
One the plus side, I do like that it has plenty of flavor, has a nice peppermint aroma, and isn't nearly as tarry as Newports. But I prefer Kool a little to Smooths because they aren't as strong but not as weak as Newports. I guess could compare the two like soft drinks: Smooth being like an energy drink, while Kool is more like a regular soda.
