I opened an Etrade account and made a wire transfer in the amount of $72k. I immediately qualified for the Etrade Pro status. Within 48 hours, my account was suspended without explanation and the funds were wired back to my Goldman Sachs account. The security department will not disclose the reason for the account closure and no one will speak to me, only to say, please make all enquiries in writing. This is without question the worst online brokerage firm I have ever come across.
