Rented a car in El Paso in late October. Got a great rate but wasn't until we turned the car in that I understood why. When we rented the car it was dark - around 9:00 pm. The desk clerk made sure I was aware that by declining their insurance that I was responsible for the car. This has never been a problem before so I agreed. Then he asked for my insurance company's name. Never been asked that before. Upon checking out the car we looked it over and found no damage. Upon returning it at around 7:00 am, still pretty dark, the attendant was pointing out dents on the roof before we were even able to get out of the car. Sure enough there were maybe three small dents in the roof. I am sure they were there before we got the car but did not notice them. I still wouldn't have noticed if the attendant had not pointed them out after driving it to a well lit part of the lot. She even remarked that they had a history of hail damage on the car before I rented it. Long story short, they have filed a claim with my insurance company which I expect I will have to honor, but I certainly feel like I was set up. I will never rent from Enterprise again and recommend that, if anyone else does, especially at El Paso,to be very leery. Check out that car with a fine tooth comb.
