I bank with Bank of America. They are a great bank. But when I went off to college there was only one BOA in town. Which was surprising considering BOA is the the largest banking institution in the country. So I sign up with Suntrust and noticed their banking practices were totally different. Different in a negative way. I overdrawn on my account for about $30 but in the end I had to pay $318. First off Suntrust charge NF(overdraft fees) for items that is pending. And on your account they don't clear items in which they were recieved. They clear items from largest to smallest. I'm a college student and I leave check to check. I take responsibility for overdrawing on my account. But its funny how a few $2 purchase and one large purchase end up being $318. Then they charge extended NF if you don't pay it off in 7 days. Then they add on more fees if you dont pay it off in 30 days. Its hard to even explain my situation without it sounding to confusing.
