I have flown on Southwest 23 one ways in the last 24 months with really no problems. I have always chosen Southwest because of the seating policy. I would check in right at 24 hours prior and everytime get A boarding. But now with their new boarding... all business customers automatically get A boarding and anyone who has flown 36 one ways in a 24 month period. Since then, the 3 times I have flown since, I have had 1 B boarding and 2 C boarding. And even though I like to sit at the rear of the plane, I still didn't get the seat I was looking for which is always a window. They tell me I have to fly 13 more one ways before Feb 2008 to get the A boarding!! The only reason why I have stayed with Southwest is for the way they board, but that's gone now. I would feel bad for the family of 4 or 5 getting B or C boarding and not being able to sit even close to each other. There are much better airlines out there, such has Jet Blue with very competitive pricing and sometimes even cheaper, and they have Direct TV on every seat back, and you can pick your own seats at booking. It's just too bad that a simple, stupid change like this is going to lose them a bunch of customers. I have flown with them over 100 roundtrips in the last 5 years and now another airlines is going to get that business.
