I would venture to say that the citizens of Massachusetts where he was Governor won't be turning out in droves to vote for him. He's very photogenic, with Reaganesque black hair...and that's about it. Like Giuliani, he once was pro-choice, now he's not. Flip-flop anyone? He equates his sons campaigning for him with soldiers dying in Iraq. And if I have to hear another blessed thing about his Mormonism, or whether the candidates for President (not Preacher or Pope) of the United States believe every word in the Bible literally, I'm liable to puke. With all the pressing, alarming, complex issues we face in the world, THIS is what we're concerned with?!? Whether the Book of Moroni has the same validity as the Book of Revelation? I don't have any particular reverence for John Kennedy, but to compare this Disneyland robot Romney with Kennedy is an insult. In his justly-praised and esteemed speech, Kennedy acknowledged his Roman Catholicism, but also had the guts to tell his rural Protestant audience that we live in a country where church and state MUST be kept separate. All Romney did was to suck up to the evangelical tyrants that have taken over and extinguished whatever heart and soul (not to mention common sense) the Republican party may once have had. Kennedy showed guts in his speech. Romney demonstrated that he's nothing but a spineless sycophant. Just what we need for President.
